There Is No Hope for Humanity If Rape, Mutilation and Murder Ceases To Be Taboo

Nothing ever justifies kidnapping, rape, torture, mutilation and murder, burning people alive and other atrocities.

Yet there are millions of people doing just that. They blame the victims of the kidnappers, rapists, mutilators, torturers and murderers.

They say you should not have been living on the lands in which you were kidnapped, raped and murdered.

They say that if we accuse you of being occupiers, colonialists, Zionists, settlers, or a member of the wrong religion, the wrong race, the wrong group, or some other label, all morality disappears and kidnapping, raping, torturing, mutilating, murder and other atrocities are not only acceptable and justified, but are celebrated and encouraged. 

The discussion must move away from who are the occupiers, who are the racists, who are the oppressors,who are the oppressed, who are the colonialists, who are the settlers, who has the right skin color, who belongs to the right religion, who follows the right politics, who belongs to the right group, much of which is arbitrary and untrue, and go to the only place where it belongs.

The place where it belongs is the most basic of morality without which humanity cannot survive; no one ever has the right to kidnap, rape, mutilate, torture, murder.

Grievances, real or imagined, past or present, injustices, real or imagined, past or present, must stop being used to justify kidnapping, rape, torture, mutilation, murder. Being considered a victim or oppressed must stop being used as an excuse to kidnap, rape, torture, mutilation, murder and other atrocities. 

The excuse that your enemy committed these crimes, whether real or imagined, and therefore that gives you the right to do the same, is sheer evil. No one has the right to kidnap, rape, torture, mutilate and murder. The only right that people have is to go after the actual perpetrators of crimes against humanity. If someone raped, kidnapped, mutilated, tortured, murdered members of my own family, it does not give me or anyone else the right to do the same to the families of the evil people that committed such acts.

Deliberately harming civilians is not resistance. It is nothing more than evil wrapped around an excuse.

If people cannot understand that kidnapping, rape, torture, mutilation, murder, must never be accepted, justified, defended, encouraged or promoted, or have denial used to pretend it did not occur, than humanity ceases to live by the most basic of moral codes and only evil reigns.
