Many animal organizations and a number of individuals are too busy making fortunes from the suffering of animals (donations, documentaries, media events, etc.) to concern themselves with the enormous structural failures - written about in earlier blogs- that ensures continued pain and suffering. Animal cruelty, in its many different forms, including dog fighting, continues to consist of the least enforced crimes. Animals suffer because true activism is absent, while animal cruelty exploitation remains exceptionally common.
