One Man's Claim Eating Whales Is Fine By Jesus

                                             On a ship going to Japan, an American described his love for whale meat, and his eagerness to arrive in Japan in order top eat this meat that is forbidden in most places in the world. He said that Jesus gave mankind dominion over the world and all the animals, and it is the right of people therefore to eat whatever they want.  He stated that the whales Japan captures and kills are not endangered, but stated some might be and that it did not matter. Regarding the slow and painful deaths involved in capturing and killing whales, he replied that all animals are Jesus' gift to people to do as they want.                                                            Religion is not an excuse for lacking simple compassion.
